Season Premieres Time! When and Where to Watch your Favorite Shows…
Posted by Greig under: TV and Video Online .
Television premieres time is coming up and the new seasons of some of my favorite shows are starting. I spent some time looking around to when and where to find these shows and, in particular, if any of them are available online (even for a fee) from the networks. Here is what I\’ve found.
“The Office” Premieres Thursday, September 27th on NBC with a special 1 hour episode. Here’s one exciting tidbit - on the offical “The Office”
site there’s an announcement that you will be able to watch full episodes online, for free, starting on September 27th. So cross your fingers because hopefully NBC’s figured out that they can still make money serving there shows online (ummm… at least they crossed the finish line on that one).
“Heroes” Premieres Monday, September 24th on NBC. According to NBC, these episodes will also be available online, hopefully for free.
“The Simpsons” 19th Season premiere is on Sunday, September 23rd on FOX. Jon Stewart, Jack Black, Lionel Richie, Stephen Colbert, Matt Dillon, Kelsey Grammer, David Hyde Pierce and John Mahoney are among the stellar lineup of guest voices this season. No word on whether this season “The Simpsons” will legally be available online to watch.
“Prison Break” is already underway and running Mondays on FOX. However, there doesn’t seem to be any way to watch episodes legally online. FOX needs to get its act together. Hey, I know, why don’t you just go here to watch?
Although “Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels” has already aired and Season III isn’t slated until March 2008 (I think), they have a good example on their website of how a network can eventually fully embrace online TV. If you go to videos on A&E, they show you a full episode (one of the best) of Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels, broken up into 3 parts with two advertisements in between. Why can’t FOX, HBO, NBC etc. do that but for every episode…. Enough preaching, but if you want to check it out then go here.
